Sleep off the Fat?

Conventional wisdom says you should exercise more to get rid of the fat. The best exercise, they say is the Push Away From the Table workout.

I’m not criticizing conventional wisdom. These recommendations are totally valid. But, I’ve read more than one study in the past few months that indicate there are some simple things you can do to assist the conventional tactics to weight control.

SLEEP properly for your benefit. One article I read told about a woman whose weight hit a plateau. Her coaches went through her lifestyle and found that a small dog slept with her. The little guy got restless in the night and moved to more comfortable spots. He took up space in the bed. When she made arrangements for the dog to sleep in a different room so she had more uninterrupted sleep her weight loss efforts became effective again. This wasn’t the little dog’s fault. He probably got better rest when he wasn’t being tossed about by feet at the foot of the bed.

Numerous studies that are available online repeat the advice of getting uninterrupted sleep. I try to make the cats go outside because they are the disturbers at my house and they have shelter spots out of doors fortunately. Nowadays, I’m really a whiner when the dog gets sick, a cat knocks things over, another cat jumps on the bed and someone in another state butt-dials my cell phone in the night to disrupt my sleep. I ‘m sure all of this is keeping my weight from being what I think it should. I need some sleep!
