Since we’ve learned that many of our winter ailments; colds, flu, allergies, colds, and colds, have their beginnings in the moisture of our eyes, the rules are:
- Keep your fingers off your face
- Keep your fingers away from your eyes
- Keep your fingers away from your mouth
As I was brushing on a favorite eyeshadow the other morning, the little sponge tip on the applicator came off. Now, you and I know we can tuck that tip back on the little paddle every day, but it won’t stay.
The beauty revelation I had on Friday was to replace the applicators. It would be okay to replace the eye shadow and eye liner too, but some favorite are hard to part with. I settled for replacing the applicator. At your local cosmetic department you can pick up a set of new ones. The last package I bought looks a little like a pack of ‘gofer’ matches with the new applicators (one tip only) stuck into keepers like the little matches.
I know that Baby Boomer beauties are no longer in that phase of their lives where they share make-up with friends at sleep-overs or between breaks at the basketball game. However, since these things still are in our memory and don’t surprise us, I would suggest that we all recommend NO SHARING of make-up to our granddaughters and great granddaughters. And sadly enough, not sharing ours with those little sweeties either.
One more chance to keep the darn cold germs where they started and out of the respiratory system.
Stay beautiful!
